Michael Baroff -- Metascapes

 

 

Michael Baroff's works are reminiscent of the paintings of Mark Rothko.  The works have a mystical and spiritual quality, painted on the small scale -- and are to be held and appreciated in an intimate relationship between the image and the viewer.

I create each Metascape in a process-oriented approach to express my inner sensations in a metaphorical seascape format that can be described artistically as“transitional” -- that space between representational and abstraction.

The first tab displays the oil on paper Serenity, Depth, Passion and Apex series (22"x29") and Vista series (6"x12").

 

The second tab diplays the mixed media on paper Intimacies series ranging in size from 5"x7" to 11"x14".

 

The third tab displays the oil on canvas Expressions series in a variety of sizes.

The Brand Library, Blue 7 Gallery, Tom Binder Fine Art,  Odalisque Fine Art, Gallery 409, James Tourcotte Gallery, the Comeback Inn, and the Venice Art Crawl.

Corporate and Private Collectors include:  Robinson-May Office of the CEO; Department of Water and Power Federal Credit Union; Friedman, Hahn and Rheingold C PAs; and Dr. Barbara  De Angelis.
